Moderation Guidelines

Pineapple allows members to share posts, photos, comments, and messages. Because our app contains user-generated content, we are required by Apple and Google to provide robust moderation systems, clear community rules, and responsive reporting tools.

All users must agree to our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service before posting. Content that violates these policies will be removed, and repeat or serious offenders will be permanently banned.

Under Apple's App Store Review Guidelines (Section 1.2 — User Generated Content), apps with UGC must:

• Provide a method for filtering objectionable content
• Provide a mechanism for users to flag objectionable content
• Provide a mechanism for users to block abusive users
• Provide a published contact method so users can reach us about concerns
• Have the ability to remove objectionable content and eject users who violate terms

Google Play's User Generated Content policy requires apps to implement:

• In-app user reporting and flagging of objectionable UGC
• Blocking of users who upload or send objectionable content
• Moderation of UGC including the ability to remove content
• A published Terms of Use and Community Guidelines that users must accept
• Age-appropriate content controls (Pineapple is 18+ only)

Pineapple is an adult lifestyle app. Consensual NSFW content between verified adults is permitted within community guidelines, provided it is appropriately labelled and not shared without consent.

Apple and Google both require that adult content apps enforce age verification. All Pineapple users must be 18+ and pass manual identity verification before accessing the full platform.

If you see content that violates our guidelines:

• Tap the report button on any post, profile, or message
• Select the reason for your report
• Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24 hours
• You will be notified of the outcome where applicable
• Use the block feature to immediately stop contact from any user

Our moderation team uses a combination of automated filters and human review:

• All new accounts are manually verified before activation
• Reported content is reviewed by a human moderator
• Repeat violations result in temporary suspension
• Serious or repeated violations result in permanent account termination
• Banned users may not create new accounts

If you believe your content was removed or your account was suspended in error, contact us at info@thepineapple.app with your username and a description of the issue. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
